This project bases on former IST projects IST-2000-28162 TEAMWORK (2001 - 2002) and IST-2000-29651 MediaISF (2001 - 2002) which developed best practices for the management of e-working based smart organisations. Trials have been performed in 2002 (and continued without funding into 2003) in 59 organisations from 13 countries in Europe, involving above 40 different projects.
The EU Manager project (called ManagEUr) uses this knowledge to develop a skill card for an efficient EU project manager including a training package and an online accssible skills portal which can be accessed by all European projects online.
The course has been further developed within the framework of the European Certification and Qualification Association (ECQA, www.ecqa.org) as 'ECQA Certified EU Project Manager'.
