SKILLS OnLINE is nothing more than an Information Portal created and run by SKILLS International for the benefit of those individuals and organizations that can take advantage of the various funding initiatives offered throughout the European Union.

It is basically a compilation of various information sources presented in a way whereby those people looking for funding opportunities may compare and review the different programmes in a clear and concise manner.

What can SKILLS International do for me in obtaining support for my project?
SKILLS International is a new company created from a team of professionals who have worked with European funding programmes for over a decade. Our Director, Mag. Andrea Fenz has served as Regional Contact Point for European Funding Programmes (Research, Innovation and Education) on behalf of Austrian ministeries, regional governments and EU from 1995 – 2008. Moreovere, she has been National Contact Point for Austria in the 6th EU Framework Programme (Information Sociecty Technologies) and has been coordinator or manager of over 40 European projects and more than 50 national or regional projects.

Are the services you offer funded by EU funding programmes as well?
Yes and no. While we do offer a vast range of services in helping you start and manage your project not all of the assistance we offer can be supported through EU grants or funding. However many of the things that will be directly responsible for you obtaining funding through EU or National programmes are often supported through the grant programmes. We will, of course, advise you as to all pertinent opportunities to pay for our services whenever possible.

What kind of direct assistance can you offer in my finding the right funding for my project?
We would start by reviewing your or your organizations’ project and seeing where it ‘fits in’ to the numerous funding opportunities offered through EU or National programmes. After an initial consultation we would then form a ‘project identity’ that we would use to construct a proposal that fits within the framework of the funding programme. By working with you and your staff to find the right inroad to the appropriate funding opportunities we can increase the likelihood of your new project receiving funding through one or more existing programmes.

Will you write the proposal for our projects application for funding?
Nobody knows your project better than you and your staff. After reviewing your project we will work with you to create the most comprehensive and effective proposal possible.  
Furthermore, we will show you how to organize your project into a structure that will readily answer all questions by the review commission, ensuring a level of consideration that will put your proposal for funding far above the rest of the applicants.

Can you teach me how to write an effective proposal?
Yes. We have hosted numerous courses on the fine points of writing winning proposals for all types of funding programmes. We can train you and your staff how to accurately fill out the application while addressing the pertinent issues necessary for approval by the commission. We offer this training as both part of regularly held course as well as on-site private training for your organization alone.

Can you give us legal advice on our project?
Information and advice on legal matters are crucial points for the successful management and completion of your international project. We give you guidance and hands-on advice in dealing with financial and legal issues of your project. Our services range from contract management consulting to grant agreements, intellectual property rights and a lot more.

Do you offer courses with European certificates?
As ECQA certified training providers we offer the “ECQA Certified EU Project Manager” and the “ECQA Certified Innovation Manager” Training Courses. These courses are based on a common European syllabus and European skill card defined for the professions. These training courses are integrated into the European Certification and Qualification Association (ECQA), see also www.ecqa.org.

Based on our experience as Regional Contact Point Southern Austria for European Funding Programmes in Research, Innovation and Education we can give you practical advice for financial audit preparation. As partner in a bulk of European projects in different funding programmes we are very experienced and can help to prepare successfully for financial audits that are either carried out on an internal or external basis.
